Thiruvila at Kuil Maha Mariamman Kg Cempaka, Tropicana, Damansara, Selangor.

On behalf of Independent Living & Training Centre Malaysia would like to sincerely thank them (Management) for inviting our 15 disabled members to their anniversary (thiruvila) at Kuil Maha Mariamman Kg Cempaka, Tropicana, Damansara, Selangor. The Guest of Honor was YB Tuan V. Ganabatirau, MP for Klang and Exco Kerajaan Negeri Selangor. He was hand over hampers and small token of appreciation to the members of the society. Temple management provided a good lunch and well taken care of us.

வணக்கம், எங்கள் மலேசியாவின் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளின் தன் நிலை பயிற்சி மையத்தின் சார்பாக நாங்கள் மகா மாரியம்மன் ஆலய நிர்வாகத்திற்கு நன்றி கூற விரும்புகிறோம். அவர்கள் எங்களை கோவில் ஆண்டுதோறும் நடக்கும் திருவிழாக்கு அழைத்திருந்தார்கள். இந்த திருவிழாக்கு மாண்புமிகு திரு. வி கணபதிராவ் MP.

நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டார். அவர் எங்களுக்கு அன்பளிப்பு பொருட்களும் மற்றும் சிறிய பண உதவியும் எங்களிடம் ஒப்படைத்தார். அதே வேலையில் கோவில் நிர்வாகம் எங்களை நல்ல முறையில் கவனித்து மதிய உணவை கொடுத்தார்கள். இவ்வேளையில் அனைத்து நல் உள்ளங்களுக்கும் நன்றியை மனதார தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.

YB. Senator Isaiah Jacob visited ILTC Malaysia

Last week on 14-04-2023 – Newly appointed YB. Senator Isaiah Jacob visited ILTC Malaysia. We had a great opportunity to meet and a serious discussion several issues with often people with disabilities are excluded from decision-making in matters directly affecting our PwD’s lives in Malaysia.

On behalf of our organization, we would like to thank YB. Senator Isaiah Jacob for spending time with Central Committee ILTC Malaysia.  

A Remarkable visit to ILTC Malaysia by JSW Law School in Bhutan

Recently on 14-04-2023 – a remarkable visit to ILTC Malaysia by JSW Law School in Bhutan's only law school, our core objective is to provide legal education, facilitate research in law and related fields, promote cultural enrichment, and uphold traditional values.

The team comprise the following members from the law school:

1. Dema Lham (Ms.), Associate Dean, Academic Affairs and Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law.

2. Sonam Tshering (Mr.), Assistant Dean, Research Center and Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law

3. Kuenzang Dolma (Ms.), Assistant Dean, Clinical Courses and Lecturer, Faculty of Law

4. KarmaChoden (Ms.), Lecturer

5. Ugyen Dorji (Mr.), Acting Registrar

As part of their curriculum, they have initiated a module development and study on access to justice for persons with disabilities (PWDs) since 2019.

We have shared the following are the areas of interest……….

1. Understand the Policies and laws protecting Persons with Disabilities in Malaysia

2. Role of your institute in protection and promotion of rights of PwDs.

3. Access to justice for PWDs in Malaysia.

4. Learn about soft skills and infrastructure for PWDs.

5. The mechanism to settle disputes among the PWDs.

On behalf of our organization, we would like to thank YB. Senator Isaiah Jacob for sharing information on user-friendly transportation, access to information, health and

empowering Malaysian persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Caring & Sharing Charitable Dinner 2023

The Selangor & Federal Territory Hainan Association organized the Caring & Sharing Charitable Dinner 2023 for the less fortunate communities at Thean Hou Temple located at Robson Heights, Kuala Lumpur which was held on 1 February 2023. There was much cheer and merriment at the CNY at the event with received Ang pow, lunch treat, goodie-bags containing foodstuff and entertainments. 30 ILTC Malaysia disabled members were attended.

On 10-12-2022 - 30 Students from AIESEC Universiti Putra Malaysia visited ILTC Malaysia. The objectives of the visit to promote and valuable information about services provides by ILTC Malaysia at largerly to the community in Malaysia.
