Program mengenali dan mempromosi ILC di Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah, UiTM Puncak Alam.

Pada 15hb Mac 2024, Dengan bangganya ILC RAWANG telah mengendalikan satu program mengenali dan mempromosi ILC di Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah, UiTM Puncak Alam.

Pihak Rehabilitasi Hospital ini telah memberi kerjasama yang amat baik. Hampir 20 warga Rehabilitasi termasuk para doktor dan kakitangan bahagian Rehabilitasi telah mengambil bahagian.

Pengerusi ILTC Malaysia & Penyelaras ILC Rawang En. G. Francis Siva telah memberi ucapan dan pengenalan tentang ILTC .

Pihak Rehabilitasi Hospital UITM begitu teruja ingin bekerja dengan pihak kami demi kebaikan warga OKU.

Myfuture Jobs Kesuma Madani OKU and TVET Career Carnival

The Social Security Organization (PERKESO) and the Ministry of Human Resources have invited ILTC Malaysia to attend a job search resource through MYFutureJobs.

We noticed that the career carnival was open to all walks of life, with a focus on the disabled and vocational graduates. This demonstrates the government's commitment to creating a more inclusive labour market in line with the Madani concept.

The Batu Caves temple is almost inaccessible to the disabled

The Batu Caves temple is almost inaccessible to the disabled because little consideration was given to include disabled-friendly features.

In 2012, the Batu Caves temple grounds, which underwent a RM3.1 million renovation to turn the holy site into a thriving tourism hub, is not disabled-friendly.

They have now is a ramp which was built to provide access to the toilet. Unfortunately, the ramp is too steep and could pose a danger to us. Even the current toilets for the disabled were not designed according to proper specification.

A ramp that is too steep poses a risk for the wheelchair user, as it can be difficult to travel upward and could result in slipping backward.

According to ILTC Malaysia, the temple management had failed on providing disabled- friendly facilities toilets and etc.

Because of that, many disabled Hindu devotees are unable to visit Batu Caves.

We would like to request and make suggestions to the Batu Caves management urgently need to provide the proper facilities on toilets and car parks for the disabled.

We want our Batu Caves to become more disabled-friendly.

A day study outing trip to Melaka

With careful planning, research and challenging journey, a day study outing trip was successfully held on 20th January 2024 with a fun and fulfilling experience for those with disabilities.

it was an enjoyable outing and and Study tours for the 20 disabled members of the Independent Living Centre, Rawang, Selangor and 25 Students of the elc International School, Jalan Sierramas Barat, Sierramas, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

The main purpose of the visits is for educating the elc students in understanding the people with disabilities in the Malaysia continue to experience challenges of accessibility in many aspects of their lives especially for those on Wheelchairs.

ILC Rawang would like sincerely to thank the good Samaritan students of the elc international school for render their kind-hearted support in assisting people in wheelchairs without a selfless act during the Melaka trip. We (disabled people) have enjoyed our visit to the Melaka.

We pray for all the students and teacher’s god bless for their sacrifices………..
