THE new bus and taxi terminal at Pusat Bandar Baru Rawang will begin operations next month not accessible at all for the disabled.
Recently, ILTC visited the newly-completed bus and taxi terminal located along the Federal trunk road was build with poor accessible facility and would be opened in the middle of May.
New landmark: Construction work on the new terminal is almost complete.
We discovered that the developer were not comply with MS1184 accessible facilities. 
The ramps to the food court are too steep for the wheelchair users and accessible parking spaces were not reserved for disabled people.
Utilities in the toilets were fitted at the wrong places. Wheelchair users should be able to use accessible facilities independently and able to move conveniently inside without assistance.After observing tightly the bus and taxi terminal, the Selayang Municipal Councilor Ms. Rina will be taking a serious action very soon to update all the facilities to be disabled friendly.
She also has arrange an urgent meeting with the Mahumas Sdn Bhd management soon.
