Centre aims to raise RM100,000 at concert

TEN charities led by Independent Living and Training Centre (ILTC) Malaysia will be holding the Rainbow of Butterflies Mega Charity Concert in Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam on Nov 25.
This concert is to raise funds for ILTCM, Yayasan Seribu Harapan Malaysia, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Anak Yatim Sri Sai Selangor, Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Matair Kehidupan Selangor, Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Chrestus, Persatuan Kebajikan Masyarakat India Annal Lllam Port Klang, Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya Kirtarsh, Pusat Jagaan Anak Yatim Sai Pandian, Society for Deaf Selangor and Federal Territory and Pusat Jagaan Siddharthan.
Representatives from each home will perform at the concert.
ILTC Malaysia president G. Francis Siva, who is also the event treasurer, said because of the current economy and lack of financial support, these organisations have suffered over the last year.
“The proceeds will be distributed equally to the beneficiaries.
“About 1,000 people from the 10 homes that include orphans, the deaf, senior citizens, terminally-ill children, and people with disabilities will benefit from the concert.
“We also welcome corporate sponsors to help with our overheads like stadium rental, chairs, tables, tents, PA system and electricity,” he said.
Tickets for the concert are RM10 each. A minimum donation of RM1,000 is required for VIP tickets.
