World Hunger Relief Programme 2010 via a charity walk organized by KFC Holdings (M) Bhd.

Last month, October 30, 2010, ILTC were invited to the World Hunger Relief Programme 2010 via a charity walk organized by KFC Holdings (M) Bhd.

Over 5,000 people turned up near the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya.

The charity walk themed ‘Be The Movement’, was the culmination of a fund-raising effort by KFC and Pizza Hut Malaysia, which helped to raise over RM1.5mil to assist the United Nations World Food programme.

Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin was the guest of honour at the charity walk.

Raja Nong Chik and Muhammad Ali later flagged off the 3km and 5km charity walk, and also a 40-tonne World Hunger Relief trailer to carry supplies and contributions to be distributed for hunger relief work in various parts of the world.

KFC Holdings (M) Bhd chairman Tan Sri Datuk Muhammad Ali Hashim also contributed to ILTC RM5000.00 under the corporate social responsibility.
